‘Time has a way’ out now

So excited to announce that I have a new song out today! It’s available everywhere you listen to music but click the album artwork below to listen on Spotify:

At the beginning of quarantine when everyone was feeling a little down and a wondering what’s in the world was next, I started doing these remote Skype writing sessions with my friend (and incredible producer) who lives out in LA. They started as mostly catch up sessions with a little music, and became my favorite outlet for writing. I’m grateful for our collabs, and this is the first of many of those songs.

hope you enjoy. and if you do like it, it’s always so helpful when you add it to a playlist, share it with a friend, leave it on repeat, etc etc etc. ;-)

xo, em

‘time has a way’

I heard you’re packing up your bags and moving out. You’re gonna do all of the things you dreamed about. Oh and it makes me sad when I think about the thing we had being over now, and I miss you.

But time has a way of healing, putting back all the broken pieces. Maybe we’ll run into each other and talk about the good times. And time has a way of changing who we are and the things we’re chasing. Maybe you’ll go and be someone you like, and you’ll have a good time.

There was a moment when we were everything, and now I don’t even remember your middle name. Oh and it makes me sad when I think about the thing we had being over now. Oh and the feeling that I can’t shake is that things will never be the same, and it kills me.

This time a year ago I couldn’t picture a day without you, but that’s just how things go—people move on, people keep changing.
